The first impression that the passengers have of the city and the country in which they have arrived, especially those who come from abroad by train, is certainly based on an impression of the appearance of the station building and train platforms.

The train platform is positioned on the ‘’bridge’’ construction at a height of 7.70m. Because of this specified condition, the height of the main object of the station was established on the height of 21m above the ground level, because of the necessary and required height of 12m above the train platform. Difference between ground level altitude and lobby station altitude was overcome by a vestibule, attractive staircase, an escalator system. Commercial facilities on floors between the ground floor and hallway on top of the station gave the complementarity to this solution. This setting of the object is clearly differentiated directions of movement of pedestrians and users of the station. Garage for the passenger's vehicles is in the basement of the station.

The materialization of both bus and railway station objects had the intention of supporting the two basic principles of modern architectural design, attractive features, and energy efficiency of buildings. As proposed stations represent one of the most technologically demanding architectural structures it is necessary to predict all possible elements of the implementation of energy renewable sources.
